Lil Boosie was born in Baton, Rouge, and Louisiana. He is the son of Raymond and Connie Hatch. When Lil Boosie was still a child, he loved poetry and basketball a lot. He excelled so much in basketball that he won a lot of the improved player back in 1997 when he was still in high school.

But while he was incarcerated, he still managed to earn a GED certificate on the 9th of March 2013. At least that would bring joy to his heart.
Unfortunately, on the 25thof November 2015, Lil Boosie announced on social media that he has kidney cancer. But thank goodness that he had a successful surgery and was able to remove cancer.

He was arrested by the deputy sheriffs in East Baton Rouge. On the 22nd of September 2009, Lil Boosie pleaded guilty to the charges. He was then sentenced to two years imprisonment and was sent to prison the next day.
On the 10th of November, Judge James Moore increased Lil Boosie sentence times two because he found out that Lil Boosie violated probation as he was waiting for his sentence.
Again on the 17th of June, 2010, Lil Boosie was charged for the first-degree murder of Terry Boyd. While that case was still on, he still faced a three-count charge for possession and intent to distribute narcotics. However, he pleaded not guilty to these charges. Hillary Moore the District Attorney, stated that if Lil Boosie was convicted he would be facing the death penalty.
Prosecutors pressed that Lil Boosie may even be involved in at least five murder cases. And on the 28th on June, Lil Boosie went to a courtroom in Louisiana to plead not guilty. Boosie’s defense lawyer emphasizes that he might have other ongoing cases, but that does not mean he is a murderer.
On the 29th of November, 2011, Lil Boosie was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment after pleading guilty to the drug charges. Later on the 11th of May, 2012, a jury confirmed that Lil Boosie is not guilty of first-degree murder.
On the 7th of December, 2012, Lil Boosie lawyer argued that his drug charge was a setup. His lawyer argument was because the informant was offered in exchange for Lil Boosie help he would give him codeine. And as at that time, Lil Boosie was a codeine addict. After some deliberations, it was revealed on the 19th of December 2013, that Lil Boosie would be released on the 18th of August 2014.
However, his manager TQ revealed that his release that was pushed forward till February 2014. On the 29thof January 2014, Lil Boosie had is final hearing, and on the 13th of February, 2014, he was released from prison. Although after his release he was still on parole until 2018. On the 8th of April, 2019, Lil Boosie was arrested again in Newnan, Georgia. This time around, he faced a felony charge for possession of firearms and drug.

Lil Boosie was born and raised in Louisiana, Baton Rouge to be more precise. He started rapping in the 1990s when he joined a hip-hop group called Concentration Camp.
